City of Santa Monica to launch new Renter’s Protection Program

City of Santa Monica has approved $8.1 million to launch its new Renters’ Protection Program — a landmark investment in upstream housing solutions.

We’re honored to have partnered with the City to co-design this initiative, which aims to prevent homelessness before it starts. With expanded Right to Counsel services and a new Flexible Financial Assistance fund, the program gives renters the tools they need to maintain stability — and avoids the personal and public costs of displacement.

This is prevention in action — and a model for what’s possible when policy, community insight, and values align. More from the City’s announcement: https://lnkd.in/g8KHtq6h
